Blue Skies Consortium members Longhurst Group and Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) both appear in Inside Housing’s 2017 “Top 50 Biggest Builders” survey - underlining that housing associations continue to build much needed new homes across the UK, despite unsettled political and economic times.

They both make the top 50 for new homes completed by housing associations between April 2016 and March 2017, and also feature in the list for new homes “in the pipeline”, expected to be completed over the next two years.

Longhurst Group built 406 new homes in the year ending March 2017, placing them equal 30th on the list. NCHA completed 273 in this period, ranking them 50th. This represented investment worth over £73 million across the two organisations, and provided new homes across a range of tenures.

Both have even more ambitious plans for the future. Longhurst Group expects to complete 602 new homes this financial year, and a further 600 next, with NCHA planning to deliver 347 and 356 respectively. Sites are already secured for the majority of these developments.

Longhurst Group and NCHA work in partnership to provide the highly respected POD development consultancy service - the preferred consultancy of the Blue Skies Consortium.
