Axiom’s former office has been dramatically transformed into 15 flats. Changemaker House, offers self-contained accommodation to meet the needs of its young residents who, are supported to live independently whilst providing them with the opportunity to manage their tenancy.

POD project managed the refurbishment and worked closely with PDG Architects and Lindum Peterborough. Consultation with the Planning Department at Peterborough City Council determined that the works could be carried out under ‘Permitted Development’, negating the need to submit formal planning applications.

The building is ideally situated within the City and compliments Axiom’s desire to expand housing provision in the area.

The structure of the existing building, internal remodelling and the location of the property, close to existing businesses and retail units created major issues. Working collaboratively with the client, construction partners, and neighbouring businesses overcame these problems. The required surveys were carried out to ensure the site works did not impede day to day business operations.
